DeFi Product Manager - Blockchain, Cryptocurrencies and Decentralized Systems

**This is a fulltime contract role paying €100,000 - €130,000 based in Portugal**

They are passionate about creating cutting-edge products that leverage decentralized technologies to transform industries and are looking for a dynamic Product Manager with deep expertise in blockchain and product management to join their team.

Key Responsibilities:

Blockchain and Web3 Expertise:

• Possess a deep understanding of blockchain technology, cryptocurrencies, and decentralized systems.
• Be familiar with major blockchain platforms (e.g., Ethereum, Solana) and their ecosystems.
• Have a solid grasp of smart contracts, DeFi, NFTs, and other web3 concepts.

Product Management:

• Define product vision, strategy, and roadmap.
• Utilize agile methodologies and manage product development lifecycles.
• Prioritize features and create detailed product backlogs.

Technical Proficiency:

• Have a strong technical background, ideally with experience in software development.
• Understand and discuss complex technical concepts with engineering teams.
• Be familiar with web3 development tools and frameworks.

Design and UX:

• Proficient in using Figma or similar design tools for creating wireframes and mockups.
• Understand UX/UI principles and best practices in web3 applications.
• Create structural sketches and user flow diagrams.

Communication and Collaboration:

• Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Articulate complex ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Demonstrate strong active listening skills to effectively receive and process ideas from stakeholders.
• Lead cross-functional teams and manage stakeholder relationships.

Analytical and Problem-Solving:

• Take a data-driven approach to decision-making.
• Use product analytics tools and conduct A/B testing.
• Think critically and solve problems efficiently.

Market and User Research:

• Conduct user research and gather customer feedback.
• Analyze market trends and competitor products in the web3 space.

Documentation and Specification Writing:

• Create clear, detailed product requirement documents (PRDs).
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications.

Business Acumen:

• Understand business models in the web3 space.
• Align product strategy with overall business goals.
• Have basic knowledge of tokenomics and crypto-economic models.

Project Management:

• Manage complex projects from conception to launch.
• Set and manage timelines, milestones, and deliverables.

Adaptability and Learning:

• Stay updated with rapidly evolving web3 technologies and trends.
• Quickly learn and adapt to new tools and methodologies.

Soft Skills:

• Show strong leadership and team motivation abilities.
• Exhibit excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Work effectively in a fast-paced, often ambiguous environment.

Nice-to-have:

• Experience with blockchain development or smart contract creation.
• Understanding of cryptography and blockchain security principles.
• Knowledge of the regulatory landscape in crypto and DeFi.
• Experience with community management in decentralized projects.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, or related field (Master's preferred).
• At least 5 years of product management experience, with a minimum of 2 years in web3 or related technologies.
• Proven track record of successfully launched products in the tech or web3 space
