Job title: Senior Backend / Blockchain Engineer

The ideal candidate should possess a deep understanding of blockchain technology, showcasing proficiency in decentralized architectures and various blockchain platforms, with a specific emphasis on Ethereum. They should have hands-on experience in node operation, including the ability to set up, manage, and troubleshoot blockchain nodes for seamless operation. Additionally, the candidate should exhibit strong skills in SQL database management and optimization, demonstrating expertise in designing, implementing, and maintaining database systems for blockchain data.

Deep Understanding of Blockchain Technology:

• Proficient in blockchain principles and decentralized architectures.
• Familiarity with various blockchain platforms, with a focus on Ethereum.
• Experience in Node Operation:
• Demonstrated experience in setting up, managing, and maintaining blockchain nodes.
• Ability to troubleshoot node-related issues and ensure smooth operation.
• Database Management:
• Strong skills in SQL database management and optimization.
• Experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining database systems for blockchain data.

Data Processing and Normalization:

• Proficiency in extracting, transforming, and loading (ETL) processes.
• Ability to normalize and structure blockchain data effectively for ease of analysis and reporting.

Programming Skills:

• Strong programming skills, preferably in Solidity, Node.js, and Python.
• Experience in developing smart contracts and decentralized applications (DApps).

Security Awareness:

• Knowledge of security protocols and best practices in blockchain and database management.
• Experience in implementing secure solutions to protect against vulnerabilities.

Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to tackle problems in innovative ways.
• Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to evolving technologies.

Communication and Team Collaboration:

• Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork and project management.
• Ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Setting up and managing blockchain nodes.
• Integrating blockchain nodes with the existing Opsin infrastructure.
• Designing and maintaining SQL databases to store and manage blockchain data.
• Implementing ETL processes for efficient data extraction and normalization.
• Developing and maintaining smart contracts and DApps.
• Ensuring data integrity and security in blockchain operations and database management.
• Collaborating with other team members for cross-functional projects.
• Keeping up-to-date with the latest developments in blockchain technology.
