Role: Full-stack Engineer (Solidity, TypeScript)
Our client, a leader in scaling global carbon markets, is seeking a Full-stack Engineer to contribute to their mission of combating climate change by developing innovative solutions.
They are building an interoperable platform and API that grants access to millions of tonnes of verified carbon credits. Software developers integrate carbon compensation into applications using their REST API, while carbon project developers, brokers, and financiers leverage the platform to list, sell, and manage environmental assets.
The platform, launched in 2023 and is a Web2 platform with Web3 capabilities underpinning its functionality. The project is upon one of the top tier open-source smart contracts and data pipelines, aiming to commercialize verified credits via unique liquidity mechanisms.
Responsibilities for the Full-stack Engineer (Solidity, TypeScript)
- Implement and document novel Solidity contracts, translating business requirements into code and tests.
- Maintain and improve existing contracts.
- Enhance QA and test automation processes to facilitate confident shipping.
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of the multi-layer service-oriented architecture, spanning NodeJS REST backend services, React TypeScript frontends, and Subgraph data layers.
- Engage in code review, architecture discussions, and technical design dialogues.
Requirements for the Full-stack Engineer (Solidity, TypeScript)
- Extensive experience with Solidity, TypeScript, and Web3 development.
- Proficiency in developing, testing, and deploying Solidity smart contracts.
- Strong grasp of DeFi fundamentals, including AMM integration, ERC standards (ERC20, ERC1155, ERC721), and ERC-2535 Diamond standard.
- Frontend proficiency (React/NextJS/TypeScript) is beneficial.
- Familiarity with The Graph protocol (subgraphs) or similar blockchain indexing tools is advantageous.
- Passion for addressing the climate crisis and enthusiasm for driving finance toward carbon mitigation and removal projects globally.
The Role
- Fully remote position, collaborating daily with team members in the U.S. and Europe.
- Compensation is in USDC (with Fiat payroll forthcoming).
