The Opportunity:

We are looking for a highly skilled and dedicated MLRO to be the spearhead in ensuring compliance with anti-money laundering (AML) regulations within their Digital Asset operations. This role is ideal for a strategic, results driven MLRO who has the stature and experience to be approved by the FCA.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain an effective AML program specific to digital assets, in line with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Conduct ongoing risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities and gaps in AML processes.
  • Act as the key point of contact for all AML-related matters, both internally and externally.
  • Keep up-to-date with emerging trends, regulatory changes, and industry advancements in the digital asset space.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to enhance compliance measures and implement necessary controls.
  • Monitor and investigate suspicious transactions, ensuring timely filing of suspicious activity reports (SARs) as required by regulatory bodies.
  • Provide ongoing training and awareness programs to educate employees on AML policies and procedures.


Qualifications and Experience:

  • Track record of operating as an MLRO, preferably within the digital assets industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of anti-money laundering (AML) regulations and their application to digital asset operations.
  • Strong understanding of blockchain technology, cryptocurrency, and digital asset platforms.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate potential risks.
  • Thorough understanding of relevant regulatory frameworks.
  • Professional certifications would be highly desirable.
